A low hiss left the mouth a black tom cat. His red eyes narrowed into a glare as he was lost in his own world, his land of memories. He stalked from the warriors den, his fur on his neck still bristling from his dream he'd been thrown into last night. He paced around the center of the camp. Flicking his tail in irrigation as he struggled to draw his mind else where, away from his memories that plagued him and forever would.
He glanced around the camp, his home, as he looked to see if he'd accidentally woken anyone else from their slumber, as he'd retreated to the early morning air. He closed his eyes as a breeze swept through the clan camp, drawing his fur back almost as if caressing his cheek. It wasn't even dawn yet, the sun had yet to rise, and would be doing so shortly. He hoped to be put on one of the patrols this morning he was in dire need of something to preoccupied his thoughts. He stopped his pacing and glanced over to see if his clan leader Whitestar or even Echorain were wake. Demongaze sighed and allowed his gaze to be swept to some of the few stars that had yet to disappear as dawn approached.

Windshade frowned as her eyes as silver as the moon and the stars at night gazed around the den. Her fur prickled with fear as she silently counted the warriors whom were asleep in their nests, she flicked her tail with an unreadable in her eyes as she realized one nest was empty, the nest closest to the entrance of the warriors den. 'He's gone out again' she thought to herself, as she allowed herself strain her hearing listening for any sounds that Demongaze was outside just simply pacing like he always does when his thoughts plague him.
She sighed softly as she heard him pacing softly, it was just barely heard, but with the clan sleeping peacefully, she was able to catch the sounds easily enough. She flicked her ears placing her flattened ears closer to her head as she slowly curled herself back in a ball, sliding her tail over her nose, she wasn't ready to get up just yet, but she doubted she'd be able to sleep but she still closed her eyes anyway enjoying her peace while she still had it.

Twilightstep's sensitive gray ears perked up, hearing Demongaze's constant pacing around the camp, which caused a quiet but annoyed growl raise from the throat of one annoyed blind cat. His hearing was a lot sharper than any other cats', mainly due to his blindness. "He's been doing this... Starclan knows how long, but enough is enough! I'm gonna go talk to him..." He mumbled to himself, as he rose to his paws. Blind eyes opening to reveal white foggy pale blue eyes. The blind medicine cat rose to his paws and gave his pelt a shake, before he got out of his nest and made his way over toward the entrence of the den. Silently dreading his decition on going out of his den, knowing it would only cause him to mess something up, or make a hell of a lot of noise because of it.
Once the tom let one pawstep out of the den, the spell that was over him was broken. The tom was met with shaking legs and paws. The tom walked fully out from the den, pawsteps jerky, unstable, unsteady and uneven like always. The tom carefully put one paw in front of the other, struggling to keep himself from tripping over his own paws.
He sniffed the air, his whiskers quivering as he smelled Demongaze and the other cats of Cedarclan. As far as he could tell, he and Demongaze were the only two cats out of their dens right now. While he was sniffing the air, he hadn't stopped walking, which was proabably the stupidest thing he could of done. He tripped over his own paws, a yowl of fright escaping his jaws, as he was sent tumbling ears over paws and landing in a heap of limbs a few tail lengths from Demongaze.

A big loud thump awoke a sleeping apprentice who was enjoying her well-earned beauty sleep. She let out a low hiss and struggled to her feet. She shook herself from her small head to the tip of her tail. She wasn't used to waking up this early, especially in the heart of leaf-bare. She stalked out quietly, avoiding the sleeping nests of her fellow apprentices. She peeked out the entrance to see that the night sky had hardly even left. A few stars still remained shining. She glanced through the camp to see Twilightstep and Demongaze. She growled. She stalked up to them more in annoyance but she wanted to see whether the blind cat was hurt. 'Are you alright?' she inquired in her most casual voice.

Demongaze lashed his tail, the fur on the back of neck rose up in a big clump, as he whirled his red eyes to look at whom had fallen, although he knew before he looked that it was Twilightstep. Still although he knew he'd been coming out of his den he had smelled him, when he fell that had caused him to jump. His claws had automatically come out, his body ready to pounce or strike at an enemy which ever it would of been.
He let his gaze wonder down the tom's body, he felt the curve of a smirk on his lips. He slowly advanced on the tom not wanting to spook him, although he paused his gaze turning sharply to the apprentice who walked out of the apprentice's den. "Petalpaw" he said her name with a nod of greeting. He flicked his tail his eyes narrowing at her stance it meant she was annoyed, clearly it was with them. He paused a fox length away from Twilightstep and Petalpaw, it seemed she had everything under control for the most part, he'd watch and wait for a bit. ____________________________________________________
Windshade frowned rolled over in her nest and sighed in defeat she wasn't going to get anymore sleep, even if she tired. She rolled back onto her feet and stood up, shaking a few scraps of moss from her fur. She gave her stripped pelt a few licks in a few places to smooth it out and get read of the pesky piece of moss that wasn't going anywhere that was stuck to her belly.
She made her way out of the warrriors den, careful not to step on Echorain's tail. She sucked in a breath sharply as she felt herself so concentrated on not stepping on Echorain's tail that she'd clumsily landed on Flashfoot's tail, in her quick hast, and now with the adrinaline and fear running through her veins, her claws had unsheathed, digging into the soft fur. She blinked fast struggling to think of something quick before she wound up waking everyone of the warriors. She flicked her tail quickly moving it to cover his mouth. She moved for leg and arched her small body over Flashfoot's, trying to reach his ear. "Shh, please don't scream i'm sorry I stepped on your tail" she whispered sharply to him, hoping he wouldn't struggle or do anything weird. He was a senior warrior and she was only just become a warrior two sunrises ago. Her heart was pounding her chest as she waited her silver eyes darted around the warriors den unable to stay on one thing, her neck fur was raised and and her tail had fluffed up too.

Twilightstep could already feel the annoyance from Petalpaw. The prissy she-cat really needed to learn to be kinder, at least that's how Twilightstep saw her. Twilightstep could feel Demongaze's eyes on him as the tom walked over to him, wanting to pounce on him at a moments notice. Twilightstep was use to these feelings by now.
Twilightstep blinked hearing Petalpaw's mew. He got up to his paws and shook out his pelt before he sat down, he rose his paw and gave it a lick. He didn't look at Petalpaw, when he answered. "Yeah I'm fine.... This happens too often to count..." He said as he sighed.
"So are you gonna snap at us or something for making you miss your beauty sleep?" He couldn't help asking the apprentice. His tone was one of good naturedness, and he wasn't trying to be offense in the least.

Flashfoot had already been half awake, when he heard Twilightstep's yowl of fright. The black and brown tom hadn't really minded that the young she-cat had stepped on his tail, he hadn't even felt it. It was after all an accident, and he was going to get mad over an accident.
However what made the senior warrior snap his light green eyes fully open and jolting him out of his half-asleep state and had made him mad was the fact that the newly made warrior was on top of him, pinning him down. Kind of. His green eyes narrowed, flecks of red-orange and gold, and blue rings were dimly appearing in his darkening gaze. "I wasn't going to yowl like some stupid kit... Now get off me Windshade... Before I claw your ears off!" Flashfoot hissed lowly so that only Windshade could hear him. Flashfoot narrowed his light green eyes at her. He was being very serious. "In fact, when we get out of the den, I'm cuffing you over the ear anyway!" He growled lowly, meaning his kind of threat toward the newly made warrior.

Petalpaw could hear the waking cats around the Cedarclan camp. She turned to Demongaze and nodded acknowledging his presence. She stepped a mouse-length and sat down tucking her paws under her body. She yawned and swiped her tongue over her lips. 'I'm way too tired to, your majesty,' adressing Twilightstep. 'But you should be sorry'. She bent her head and licked her white chest. She didn't want to go back to sleep but she felt her lids beginning to drop over her amber-coloured eyes.

Windshade looked offended for a moment, but the look was gone from her silver gaze so fast it was hard to tell it'd been there. She'd blinked fast covering it up. She was always easily hurt by the mean words of others, some would call her far too sensitive, and she looked at things from every angle, tried to see some hidden meaning behind others words. "My apologizes Flashfoot" she muttered quickly scrambling off him.
She quickly bolted out the entrance of the warriors den. She stopped by Twilightstep. "Do you need any herbs gathered this morning?" she interrupted, her fur prickling with uneasy her gaze kept wavering to the warriors den. She longed to be out of camp before Flashfoot came outside, she wanted to be gone, but she couldn't just run out of camp....she might be needed, but if she helped Twilightstep, she could get away without getting scolded by Whitestar or Echorain...as long he needed her help. She really hoped he'd say yes. "I can help you, we can go right away" she meowed. Her eyes looking at him, waiting praying to star clan they could get out of here. 'You're far too sensitive Windpaw' she could just hear her mother's voice now.
____________________________________________________
Demongaze looked toward the entrance of the Warriors den. He could hear the whispered words of two cats could recognize the two scents. 'It's Flashfoot and Windshade' he thought to himself his tail folded neatly over his paws. He ran his tongue neatly over his left front paw, waiting his gaze intently on the warriors den, waiting.
He blinked seeing the she-cat's form bolt from the den. 'Oh boy here we go again' he thought his gaze rolling skyward. "Oh star clan help us" he muttered to himself, just before the she cat approached and immediately cut in asking Twilightstep to go herb collecting. It was something of a habit if she didn't want to be around the said cat who'd managed to hurt her far too sensitive feelings so early in the morning. He wondered what the medicine cats answer would be this time. "Don't fall asleep now Petalpaw, since you're up you may as well go on one of the patrols Echorain will organize when she awakes" he said with a small, low purr of amusement.

Flashfoot blinked cluelessly, and couldn't find his voice fast enough, to tell the she-cat her apology was accepted, before the easily offended she-cat bolted out of the den. Flashfoot mentally sighed and sat down on his hunches, now that he was unpinned. The senior warrior sat like that, still as a statue and waited for a few moments before he rose to his paws and lashed his tail once, before he exited the warriors den.
Flashfoot perked his ears and walked over toward the gathered cats. He didn't say anything, mainly because he didn't want to hurt the sensitive she-cat's feelings anymore then he already had. The brown and black warrior stopped beside Demongaze. "Greetings, Demongaze, Twilightstep, Petalpaw." He meowed.
____________________________________________________
Twilightstep bit back a hiss of anger. This she-cat was pushing him, and soon he would snap at her. Apprentices and warriors needed to learn to hold their tongues in front of the one cat who could save their lives one day.
Twilightstep opened his mouth to snap at the rude apprentice, when he heard Windshade bolt out of the warriors den, and quickly ask him if he needed to go herb gathering. For once he was grateful for Windshade getting her feelings hurt. Not that he'd ever liked to see the she-cat's feelings hurt, but she gave him a reason to get out of camp. "Yes, I am running out of Horsetail." He said, trying to hide his happy mew. "Morning to you as well, Flashfoot." The tom responded to his former mentor. "We can leave now, Windshade. Demongaze or Flashfoot, tell Whitestar or Echorain, what Windshade and I have gone to collect Horsetail, if they wonder where we are." He meowed toward the two cats, completely ignoring Petalpaw, mainly because he was annoyed with the snotty apprentice.
The blind tom rose to his paws again, and stumbled past the group, and toward the entrence of the camp, he flicked his tail for Windshade to follow him.

Petalpaw jerked awake at the tumbling entrance of Windshade and Flashfoot. She nodded greetings to them and staggered to her feet. 'I'm awake,' she yawned, as she stumbled all over the camp. She stalked over to the depleted fresh-kill pile and chose a plump mouse for her much-too-early breakfast. She scooped it up in her unsheathed claws and ate it all in a few ravenous bites. For the next few moments the apprentice spent her time cleaning her muzzle. 'I'll go hunting,' she meowed, mainly to get out of patrol. 'There's hardly any food left'. She tottered over to the entrance following the blind medicine cat.

Windshade smiled her graditude, as she followed Twilightstep, eagerly to the entrance of the Cedar clan camp. She was looking forward to being able to be out, perhaps she could catch something on her way back if she wasn't carring too much horsetail for Twilightstep, but it would all soon play a role, and she would know. "Thank you for allowing me to help you this morning Twilightstep" she told him as soon as they were out of ear shot and out of the camp.__________________________________________
"Not by yourself you're not" Demongaze quickly, his meow quick and smooth. He glanced at Flashfoot. "Care to accompany her?" He asked gesturing to Petalpaw. He would of gone, but he needed to wait to be formally assigned to such a task, as hunting or a boarder patrol. He would leave, but it wouldn't of been wise to do so. He needed to relay Twilightsteps message to Whitestar or Echorain anyway, it wasn't a big deal to him. He was also looking for a way to get back to some of his thoughts before he needed to patrol, which would be soon.
